Directed all Human Resource functions for a public manufacturing, distribution, service and wholesale company for both corporate and field locations across the United States, including both union and non-union distribution centers in the United States and Canada.

Held entire responsibility for Executive recruitment and the recruitment and development of a high-quality workforce for a privately-held retail company. Directed the planning, development and implementation of all Human Resources recruitment and retention programs. Successfully staffed and opened two retail stores and a Distribution Center expansion.

Directed a process of organizational development for a privately-held retail company that addressed succession planning. Worked with the VP Sales and the VP Operations to develop second tier training programs in the stores and the distribution center.

Developed and implemented quarterly training programs on staffing and retention for shop personnel for automotive franchisees in the United States, Canada, Central America and Mexico (approximately 1,900 franchisees).

Provided proactive advice and counsel to management on Human Resource matters, making and recommending appropriate courses of action and solutions to problems, and problem prevention for major corporations.

Investigated manager/employee appeals, problems, mediated disputes, and ensured conflict and/or problem resolution in compliance with Company practices and policies for a major retailer with multi-locations.

Ensured legal compliance with all federal, state and local employee relations laws and regulations by working and coordinating with outside employee relation’s attorneys, acted as a primary contact for outside agencies, and company position in suits, hearings and charges for numerous companies.

Prepared analysis of all exempt and non-exempt positions to determine company compliance with the Department of Labor. Participated in a Department of Labor investigation for a publicly-held automotive software company.

Managed three reductions in workforce (approximately 1,800 employees) for a corporate office and numerous field locations for a publicly-held manufacturer and distributor.

Managed DKS Benefits Consulting from 1992 to 1998. Annually reviewed benefit plans for small manufacturers and recommended appropriate changes in order to remain competitive in the marketplace and reduce cost.

Created and implemented a new annual performance management process for corporate and multi-field locations (approximately 2,700 employees) to more effectively evaluate individual performance against business objectives.
